Acrylic Paint on Paper

These paintings are acrylic paint on Arches 140# paper. Acrylic paint on heavy paper is my favorite way to work. The quick drying time allows me to work for hours without having to stop. The heavy Arches paper is also wonderful to work with. It takes colors beautifully and I can scrub it, scratch it, and grind into it, whatever I need to get the textures I desire. Many of these paintings have a layer of foil embedded in them to create a metallic sheen. Technically these could be considered mixed media but I feel they fit best in the Acrylic category.
